If you have a compatible Android phone and your car or head unit supports wired Android Auto, AAWireless should work in your car.
You can check which cars are compatible here. You can check which smartphones are compatible here. AAWireless, as well as similar dongles, cannot provide support for products missing on these official lists by Google. This, for example, means Huawei phones are not supported at all.
The AAWireless adapter is more advanced than other adapters. It comes with a free companion app, which gives you full control over your device.
Popular dongles like the Motorola MA1, CarlinKit or Ottocast can't be connected to such an app, meaning you can't update these adapters in the future and miss out on extra features.
Yes, software updates of Android Auto should not affect the device's functionality. In case they will do, we can adjust our firmware to it, which you can then use to update your adapter via our free companion app.
You don't need WiFi in your car. Our adapter has both WiFi and Bluetooth hardware itself. You connect your phone to the AAWireless adapter via Bluetooth, after which the adapter establishes a WiFi connection. It then disconnects from the Bluetooth network and solely uses WiFi from that point on. After setup, it will connect automatically each time you get into your car.
Yes, AAWireless has both CE and FCC certification.
Yes, we occasionally provide OTA (over-the-air) updates. This way you'll always have access to the latest features.
The power consumption of AAWireless is between 90mA and 330mA. Unless you leave it in the car without starting the car for well over 2 weeks, this should not be a problem.
Yes, but just one of them will launch and control Android Auto.

After you placed an order, your device will be shipped from one of our many warehouses across the globe (either the same day or the next day). To see the estimated delivery time for your AAWireless dongle, please add a device to your cart. The cart will then show the region's applicable carrier and the estimated delivery time for that particular region.
If you wish to return your device, you can do so within 30 days after receiving your product without stating any reasons. Please request your return form via support@aawireless.io. We will make a full return payment as soon as possible, but in any event within 14 days after receiving your notice. Products need to be returned as much as possible in their original condition and packaging, including all other accessories supplied. Please find more details in our General Terms and Conditions.
